Welcome to OCTI!

Who we are:  

Founded in 2017, we are part of the Indivisible National activist coalition and are one of 2,200 chapters across America that follow the Indivisible Guide (see Resources & Links). Our members hail primarily from Orange, Milford, Stratford, and West Haven as well as a dozen other towns, all in CT District 3 in the U.S House of Representatives.  Our mission is to defeat authoritarianism here in the U.S., rebuild our democracy, and elect leaders who share our values. Together, we organize for change. Indivisible groups are where everyday people turn outrage into action and prove in our actions that courage is contagious.

What we do:

We meet once per month to formulate plans to write and call our Members of Congress both in the House and Senate,  attend rallies and protests, register voters, write post cards to get out the vote and call attention to critical issues, submit letters to editors, provide testimony in support of state legislation, boycott businesses that support this corrupt and unlawful administration, and work on campaigns for candidates who share our values.

How we do it:

We organize and take action individually, on specific teams, and as a whole.
